 De-Manufacturing is the most effective way to prepare all types of electronic waste for proper recycling. Through this type of disassembly method all types of materials are completely separated without contaminating other materials. In general all electronics are constructed by using many types of plastic, metal, glass, other fibers, and chemicals. For example: a TV or CRT computer monitor consists mainly of ABS plastic, for the shell; Steel and Aluminum, for the frame or structure; and Glass, for the Cathode Ray Tube. Copper Wire connects the CRT, Circuit Boards, and the buttons we all push for functionality. Lead is a heavy metal fused into the glass of the CRT. Fiberglass makes up the curcuit board which has other components and dangerous materials added to it. Some of those chemicals used to make up those components are; Lead and Silver Solder, Nickle Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic.
